The 5th Dubrovnik Winter Festival has prepared numerous programmes for the citizens of Dubrovnik and their guests at the very end of 2018. The main event will be New Year's Eve Party in Stradun, organised in collaboration with Star Produkcija, as well as the concert of The Gipsy Kings in Stradun on Saturday, 29 December. The day before New Year's Eve, on 30 December, Opća opasnost will perform their popular rock ballads, while children and families can enjoy various programmes every day during the Festival. Various events for people of all ages and music tastes are organised towards the end of the year, and the programmes will be continued in the New Year!
Croatia's top singers Nina Badrić and Tony Cetinski will entertain the citizens of Dubrovnik and their guests on New Year's Eve on Monday, 31 December. Great musicians on one of the world's most beautiful stages and impressive fireworks at midnight guarantee an unforgettable beginning of 2019 in Stradun. Young Croatian musicians Marko Kutlić, David Temelkov and Jure Brkljača will perform as the opening act at 21:00. New Year's Eve Party for children featuring popular young singer Mia Negovetić and Super cover band starts at 11:00. Traditional carols will be performed at noon by the Linđo Folklore Ensemble, the Libertas Choir and the Dubrovnik Brass Band.
The traditional New Year's Concert entitled Orlando's Ball will be performed by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the baton of American conductor Marc Tardue with soprano Marija Kuhar Šoša on the first day of 2019 at noon in Stradun, announcing 2019 as Orlando's Year. Visitors will enjoy music, oysters and sparkling wine, courtesy of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board. One of the most popular Croatian klapa ensembles, klapa Rišpet, will perform in Stradun on the evening of 1 January.
